*Please do not expect your child to come home with "worksheets." I am not a worksheet teacher! I believe in teaching through exploring and using hands-on experiences. Example: working on patterns with blocks, or working on colors through games. We do most of our writing practice on white board. However, we do have occasional practice on paper, so kids can take home and show parents their work/improvements!
*Every child is assigned a show and tell day!
*Every month we count 5 numbers higher!
Example: September we count to 10. October we count to 15. November we count to 20. Etc. This depends on the children's skill level and developmentally ready level.
*Each month we focus on the relationship between counting an amount of items and matching that amount to the symbol that represents that amount (a number). We start with recognizing numbers 1-3, and add 2 numbers each month (depending on skill level and developmentally ready level).
